I own a 2007 and i dont have any bad comments about this bike. It handles very well and acts like if it was a 500 or 600 cc. Good gas mileage. Very reliable and speeds up very fast. In fact it has double carbs, double electric coils, double cam shafts, eight valves, big gas tank, wide tires, what else can you ask for a 250cc cruiser-commuter?
Regards from Costa Rica.

My husband just found this and sent it to me. Thank you so very much for printing this article. You'll be thrilled to know I currently have 12, 850 miles on my new Genuine Black Jack Buddy since received on February 1st, 2010. Like my 125cc Buddy, this new 150cc is all I expected and more. I can't say enough about this scooter. Thanks again for recognizing me!

Pat,

I'll be there on my new BlackJack!!! Good to see you on Friday and thanks for putting the deal together. That's three new scooters in 8 months. Maybe I should just work for you and get this thing out of my system.

I must be a little ahead of the curve on this concept. Granted the recipient was my son, but he arrived here from New Orleans after Katrina with nothing but a knapsack with a few t-shirts. I bought him a Buddy 50 to help him get his act together up here. His Buddy has enabled him to get to work and generally function without a car. Also, I liked it so much I bought another one for me. I consider myself deserving of a little fun, too. Pat, keep up the good work.

What a fantastic idea! In the future when we look back on these trying times I hope people will remember the creativity and generosity of business people like you and Genuine Scooter Company. A perfect example of creating an oportunity for people to "pay it forward".

Thanks a lot for sharing the pic and info! That is great that Tony came by your shop. I am looking forward to seeing the GV700i in the flesh, a good number of people asked for that bike in the forums. Glad to see Hyosung pushing through the recession. Looking forward to watching the company grow.

May 1 marked my 1 year anniversary on my GV250 and I have been pleasantly surprised. This is my first bike so I can't really compare it to other brands but i would be willing to bet it is as good, or better, than most.

I have 2 complaints:
1) The plastic chain guard broke early on - not sure why - but was easy enough to fix (well - it doesn't move around anymore).
2) My speedometer, other than being in KM, is about 5 mph slow - which is a bit annoying.

I have put 10,000 miles on it (accuracy questionable cosidering speedo) and have had no major issues - other than a flat tire. Well, the dealer had to put a new fuelcock when it would not start the day after I got it home but that was just b/c it was sitting in the showroom for a while.

A couple of suggestions:
1) The ethanol was clogging up my carb and causing my bike to cut out at 8K RPM + - I added fuel cleaner and started using good quality gas (gas with cleaners - shell, chevron, etc.) and it has not been an issue.
2) keep the chain oiled and cleaned - the chain pops like crazy after a 1000 Km or so without an oiling / tightening.
3) the engine is running better now than ever - better with age i guess :)
4) I have seen several posts about loose bolts and such. Make sure the dealer is reputable as they are the ones that put the bikes together. So if they suck - your bike probably will too.
